Hart's History

In 1964, Mr. L.S. Hartzog opened the first Hart's Fried Chicken restaurants in Mobile, AL.
''Mr. Hart'' owned several bakeries and over 150 restaurants including
75 Hart's Kentucky Fried Chicken and 63 Wendy's Hamburgers franchises.
He was the first Wendy's franchise holder.
His brother in law, Mr. Wayne Johnson, was the Vice President of Operations
for his company. In 1972, Mr. Wayne Johnson bought the HFC stores in Mobile
Since then, Harts has been run by three generations
of Johnson family: Mr. Wayne Johnson's son and grandson: Mr. Robert Johnson
and Mr. Matthew Johnson.
